Job summary

Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Driver's Mate to join a client operation in Ipswich. You will support workshop waste HGV drivers with the manual tasks of the job, including loading containers and exchanging empties on site.

The role starts ASAP, runs Monday to Friday, with 5am–6am starts and a guaranteed 10 hours per day. It offers 28 days holiday prorated, upskilling opportunities to HGV, ADR and HIAB after probation, plus a referral bonus.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Reliable team player.
• Able to manage physically demanding role.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload waste containers at the depot.
• Exchange empties for full containers at customer sites.
• Operate drum trolley, electric pallet truck and tail lift on 18T rigid box.
