Job summary

Vp plc is seeking a Driver's Mate for TPA Portable Roadways to join a two-man team delivering, installing and collecting portable roadways across the UK. Full training is provided and a clear pathway to becoming a Class 1 Driver on our state-of-the-art vehicles.

This is a long-term, full-time role requiring a full UK Driving Licence, hard work and reliability. We offer a competitive starting salary, travel expenses, overnight allowance, holiday entitlements and a range of employee benefits.

• No experience or qualifications required beyond a full UK Driving Licence; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Must enjoy being on the road and working outside in all weathers
• Use the lorry loader crane to install and recover our temporary roadway products
• Provide customers with familiarisation of equipment
• Carry out weekly vehicle, trailer & crane cleaning procedure
• Map read and plan routes in discussion with the Driver
• Ensure that paperwork is accurately completed
• Identify and record all damaged stock correctly with the driver
• Carry out a weekly vehicle stock-check
• Ensure health & safety for you and others in the working area
• In addition to the above: Must be comfortable spending time away from home, Monday to Friday
• Weekend overtime available

About the Role

As a Driver's Mate for TPA, you will work closely with the driver as part of a two-man team, delivering, installing and collecting portable roadways in a variety of different settings across the UK.As part of the role, we provide full training and a clear pathway to becoming a Class 1 Driver on our state-of-the-art vehicles. All you need is a full UK Driving Licence to apply for this role.We are not looking for temporary workers, full time permanent commitment is required.

Key Responsibilities
