Job summary

FCC Environment in Windsor, Berkshire is seeking a Driver / Operative to join our street cleaning and Rapid Response teams. The role is 40 hours per week at an hourly rate of £12.71 with benefits. You will drive, operate equipment, and perform duties across Windsor to meet the contract standards.

The position is full-time with progression opportunities, pension, life cover, and wellbeing benefits. A clean driving licence and local-area knowledge are essential, and you will work both

Responsibilities

• Carrying out and overseeing street cleaning across roads within the Borough
• Working independently or as part of a team
• Carrying out duties efficiently to ensure maximum productivity
• Ensuring tasks are completed to schedule and reporting any discrepancies to the Working Foreman or Supervisor
• Reporting any defects or damage to your Supervisor
• Checking equipment at the start of each shift and before leaving the depot to ensure it is in good working order
• Cleaning the vehicle at the end of each shift and maintaining it in line with specification
• Maintaining a courteous and professional relationship with members of the public
• Working alternate weekends on a shift rota to provide cover in various roles
• Supporting other duties when necessary to maintain a good working relationship with the partner and client
• Carrying out Rapid Response duties with another member of staff working on a Winter/Summer shift programme

As a Driver / Operative at FCC Environment, you will carry out daily street cleaning and Rapid Response duties across Windsor in line with the Contract specification, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard. You will also be responsible for looking after and maintaining your vehicle and equipment on a daily basis.

This vacancy is for a full-time position.
