Job summary

Veolia Group in Widnes is recruiting a driver to join our waste collection team. You will operate a Class 2 vehicle, collect waste from designated locations, and perform daily vehicle checks while using onboard tech to log notes.

The role involves lifting bins of various weights, adhering to traffic laws, and maintaining site cleanliness. Flexibility with start times is required in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• Up-to-date CPC required.
• Digi / Tachograph card required.
• Desirable: Previous Waste Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty multiple waste containers.
• Lift bins of all weights and sizes.
• Perform daily vehicle checks per operator handbook.
• Use onboard systems to record work notes.
• Ensure clean carriageway and clean up spills as needed.
