Job summary

Veolia UK in Hull is seeking a driver for waste collection routes. You will drive to planned locations, move and empty bins, perform daily vehicle checks and log notes using onboard tech. A Class 2 licence, CPC and Tachograph card are essential, with waste experience desirable. Enjoy a supportive employer with progression opportunities.

This role requires 48 hours per week, early start times (4–6am), and one in eight Saturdays. OTE includes base salary plus benefits and annual leave.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence is essential.
• Digi / Tachograph card required.
• Up‑to‑date CPC certification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty waste containers.
• Lift bins of all weights and sizes to stay on the go.
• Complete daily vehicle checks per driver operator handbook.
• Use onboard technology to log work notes.
• Ensure loads comply with traffic laws and keep the carriageway clean.

Salary: OTE of up to £49,835.85 Based on £41,429.28 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Weekly Pay £5.00 Daily meal allowance Single person allowance - Earn an extra £41.16 daily when you complete over 110 bins (RCV mode only)

Hours: 48 hours per week - start times between 4-6am Required to work 1 in 8 Saturdays

What you’ll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple waste containers
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes so you are always on the go
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Using onboard technology to complete work notes
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
