Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Driver/Operative in Beighton to join our busy UK fleet. The role involves daily vehicle checks, operating 26-week cycles, and delivering essential services to local communities.

The ideal candidate holds a Cat C (Class 2) licence with Driver CPC and Digi/Tacho cards, and has experience with skips/RORO operations. Competitive salary plus benefits and development opportunities are offered.

• Experience with skips / RORO operations.

Responsibilities

• To complete daily vehicle checks as per our driver handbook.
• Drive and operate Veolia vehicles following safety policies and legal requirements.
• Complete and file daily vehicle reports, defect reports, route sheets and waste transfer notes.
• Undertaking any training or instruction required to perform these duties.
• Adhering to driving laws and regulations at all times.
• Staying legally compliant by following all tacho laws without triggering driving infringements.

Salary: £39,835.85 GBP Annual per annum plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 48 hours per week averaged across a 26week period, Sunday to Thursday AM RORO Driver, 4am-7am start times

Location: Beighton, S20 1AH

What you'll be doing:

• To complete daily vehicle checks as per our driver handbook.
• Drive and operate vehicles and equipment as required by the company in accordance with a valid licence,safety policies, complying to relevant legislation at all times.
• Completing, checking and returning all paperwork required in undertaking these duties, including daily vehicle reports, defect reports, route sheets and waste transfer not
• Undertaking any training or instruction required to perform these duties.
• Adhering to driving laws and regulations at all times.
• Staying legally compliant by following all tacho laws without triggering driving infringements.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

• Cat C (Class 2) licence
• Up to date Driver CPC
• Digi / Tachograph card
• Skips / RORO experience

Desirable:

• Cat C+E Licenc e
• RCV experience
• FEL experience
• Waste industry experience
• Clean driving licence
