Position Purpose

Contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of clinical and industrial waste. Work as part of the transportation team to provide excellent customer service while ensuring all legal compliance issues regarding EU Working Time Directive (EU hours) and ADR Transportation Regulations are fully adhered to. Support Service Managers and Service Coordinators daily; shift patterns any 5 from 7, including legal holidays when required.

Key Job Activities

• Carry out daily schedules to agreed routes and timings.
• Complete documentation related to drivers’ hours and WTD, complying with legislation and corporate procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Road Traffic Act, vehicle, driver’s hours, digital Tachograph records, vehicle weight limits, and speed limits.
• Adhere to all ADR/Hazardous goods legislation requirements.
• Follow company standard operating procedures.
• Act as a customer contact at delivery points, maintaining politeness and courtesy.
• Attend training, staff meetings, and undertake ad-hoc duties with flexibility.
• Report accidents/incidents and complete documentation promptly.
• Perform vehicle checks before use, report defects to Service Coordinators.

Education

High School or equivalent (GCSE).

Experience (EMEAA)

Previous driving experience preferred. Must have LGV Class 1 Licence, Driver CPC. ADR Training preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

LGV Class 1 Licence (C+E entitlement), Full Driver CPC, Digi Card, preferably linked to ADR certificate - packages 6.1/6.2.
