Position Purpose:

Contribute to the safe and timely transportation of clinical and industrial waste. Work within the transportation team to deliver excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with the EU Working Time Directive and ADR Transportation Regulations. Support Service Managers and Coordinators, with shifts any 5 days from 7, including holidays when required.

Key Job Activities:

1. Follow daily schedules and routes.
2. Complete documentation related to drivers’ hours and WTD, complying with legislation and company procedures.
3. Ensure compliance with Road Traffic Act, vehicle regulations, driver’s hours, digital Tachograph records, weight, and speed limits.
4. Adhere to ADR/Hazardous goods legislation.
5. Follow company standard operating procedures.
6. Act as a polite and courteous contact at delivery points.
7. Attend training, staff meetings, and perform ad-hoc duties flexibly.
8. Report incidents, complete documentation, and operate professionally.
9. Perform vehicle checks before use and report defects.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent (GCSE).

Experience (EMEAA):

Previous driving experience preferred. Must have LGV Class 1 Licence, Driver CPC. ADR training is a plus.
