Job summary

Alliance Healthcare in Swansea is recruiting a part-time LGV 7.5T Driver (Class 3) based at the Service Centre. Hours are 30 per week, Mon–Fri 11:00–17:00, with a rate of £15.30 per hour. You will deliver assembled products and invoices efficiently within corporate guidelines.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, tachograph compliance, and reporting faults or delays. You’ll load orders, maintain security, and uphold high standards of customer service and professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence relevant to the vehicle driven is essential.
• Certificate of Professional Competence and tachograph experience required.
• Experience in multi-drop deliveries is highly desirable.
• Good route planning skills and excellent communication.
• Prepared for light manual handling and customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assembled products and invoices promptly to customers.
• Keep vehicle in a roadworthy condition with daily checks.
• Report faults, breakdowns, and delays to Transport.
• Comply with tachograph rules and rests as required.
• Ensure all deliveries on dropsheets are completed and shortages reported.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and security at all times.
• Log trailer seal numbers and inspect for damages.
• Support management with other duties as needed.
• Maintain professional appearance and customer relations.
• Communicate effectively with service centre transport staff.

Apply today!# **Job Details**This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.**Job Title:** LGV 7.5T DriverClass 3 **Location:** SwanseaService Centre**Hours:** 30 Hours Mon – Fri 11:00 - 17:00**Rate:** £15.30 per hour **Job Scope** To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to the customer within corporate guidelines. ## **Key Accountabilities** * To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.* To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.* To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.* To abide by all tacho-graph laws and ensure daily/weekly rests are taken as required* Ensure all Proof of Deliveries listed on drop sheets have been delivered to customers and report any shortages to the transport department before leaving the customer.* Upon receipt of collection request, collect goods returned from external customers as instructed by the transport staff.* To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.* To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.* To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.* To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.* Ensure all trailer seal numbers are logged before departure and before opening at the service centre or external customer.* Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.* To maintain a smart appearance at all times.* To help maintain good customer relations.* To maintain at all times good communications with the transport staff based at the service centre.* To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.* Meet all Health & Safety requirements. .# **Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:****Essential*** A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven* Certificate of Professional Competence and electronic tachograph experience* Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable* Route planning experience* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Proactive attitude to Customer care and service* Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy* Conscientious with excellent attendance and time keeping history* Prepared to do light manual handling duties **Additional Information:**Drivers are required to maintain a smart appearance due to their constant interaction with external customers. All staff are required to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP.
