Job summary

World Courier in Letchworth is hiring a Multi Drop Delivery Driver to ensure fast, accurate pharmaceutical deliveries to pharmacies and hospitals. You will drive 48 hours weekly across Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri and Saturday mornings, with a salary of £37,489.92.

The role requires a full driving license, strong customer care, and good numeracy. You will perform vehicle checks, maintain the vehicle, and support warehouse tasks as needed, while upholding health and safety standards.

Job Title: Multi Drop Delivery Driver Location: Letchworth Hours per week: 48hrs M/T/W/TH/F (am start) and Saturday mornings Salary: £37,489.92 Job Summary To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals. Key Responsibilities: • To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users. • To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc. • To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays. • To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle. • To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work. • To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times. • To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle. • To collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management. • Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems. • To always maintain a smart appearance. • To help maintain good customer relations. • To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management. • Meet all Health & Safety requirements..Skills Knowledge and Experience required: Essential: • A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven • Whilst we do not ask for a clean license, we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license, and this may affect our decision to shortlist • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent Customer care • Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy Desirable: • Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable • Route planning experience Benefits • Contributory Pension Scheme • Perks at Work (Discounts on top brands) • Employee Assistance Programme • 20 days’ holiday + bank holidays, increasing with service length
