Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking an experienced delivery driver to support Alliance Healthcare operations in Europe.

You will ensure accurate and timely delivery of assembled products while maintaining safety, vehicle standards and professional customer interactions. The role requires a full UK driving license, CPC, tachograph experience and route planning skills, with a focus on reliable attendance and compliance with SOPs.

Qualifications

• Full driving license is required for the vehicle driven.
• Certificate of Professional Competence is desirable.
• Experience with multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable.
• Route planning experience is beneficial.
• Understanding of SOPs including GMP/GDP principles is expected.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver goods to customers across the EU/UK region, ensuring speed, accuracy and compliance.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report faults or delays promptly.
• Adhere to tachograph laws and ensure rest requirements are met.
• Verify deliveries against dropsheets, collect returns as instructed, and report shortages.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, security and fuel levels for the day.
• Log trailer seals and ensure correct loading of orders.
• Handle damages per HazChem procedures and maintain professional appearance.
• Maintain good customer relations and clear communications with service centre staff.
• Participate in other duties as defined by Management and comply with Health & Safety rules.

Job description

This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business., To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to the customer within corporate guidelines.,

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• To abide by all tacho-graph laws and ensure daily/weekly rests are taken as required
• Ensure all Proof of Deliveries listed on drop sheets have been delivered to customers and report any shortages to the transport department before leaving the customer.
• Upon receipt of collection request, collect goods returned from external customers as instructed by the transport staff.
• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• Ensure all trailer seal numbers are logged before departure and before opening at the service centre or external customer.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• To help maintain good customer relations.
• To maintain at all times good communications with the transport staff based at the service centre.
• To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.
  A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven
• Certificate of Professional Competence and electronic tachograph experience
• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
• Route planning experience

• Additional Information: Drivers are required to maintain a smart appearance due to their constant interaction with external customers. All staff are required to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher.
