About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Driver/Labourer to join our Buidling Services team. This full-time, permanent position, involves a variety of labouring tasks inclu Novemberding clearing void properties, garden clearances, and trade waste removal. The role requires working across Norwich City Council’s domestic and non-domestic properties, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and best practices while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities include adhering to Health & Safety regulations, performing routine and non-routine cleaning duties, using equipment and chemicals safely, and maintaining clear communication with the management team. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and under pressure to meet target dates, organize their work schedule efficiently, and communicate effectively with the public, clients, and team members.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification or equivalent work experience, have extensive experience in a similar role, and demonstrate a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations. Essential skills include the ability to work on one's initiative, make decisions related to their expertise, and be a team player. A full UK driving license is required, and the candidate must be willing to undertake additional training as needed.

This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.

Requirements

Knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
