Job summary

GAP Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Labourer/Driver to support the Carnforth depot with daily yard duties and meticulous equipment checks. You will ensure timely delivery and collection of Pump & Power equipment to GAP Group customers.

The ideal candidate has experience in a similar hire depot or yard, holds a full driving licence, and a forklift licence would be highly beneficial. A strong commitment to health and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment.
• Forklift licence would be highly beneficial
• Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
• Full driving licence is essential

Responsibilities

• Keep all areas clean and tidy on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Ensure equipment leaving the depot is checked and maintained to high standards.
• Deliver and collect Pump & Power equipment to and from GAP Group customers in a timely manner.

The Role

GAP Pump & Power Services Division provide advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering & sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.

Working in the heart of the depot the Labourer/Driver will be responsible for keeping all areas clean and tidy day in day out, and ensuring that any equipment leaving the depot has been checked and maintained to the highest standards. You will also ensure timeous professional delivery and collection of Pump & Power Equipment to and from GAP Group customers.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a similar environment, driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience working within a similar role, preferably within a hire depot or yard environment
• Forklift Licence would be highly beneficial
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
