Job summary

Flagship Services, part of Bromford Flagship Livewest, is hiring a Driver Labourer to join the Repairs & Voids team in the East region. The role combines driving with labouring and property maintenance tasks to keep homes safe and well-maintained for tenants.

You will deliver materials, support maintenance operations, and work across multiple trades. A full UK driving licence and the ability to work independently are essential, with the role offering a permanent contract and a company van.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous delivery driving and/or labouring experience.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good practical maintenance skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials, equipment and plant hire across the region.
• Assemble, load and transport orders safely and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain the company vehicle.
• Support repairs and maintenance teams with labouring tasks.
• Carry out void clearances, flood repairs and damp/mould cleaning.
• Collect and dispose of waste according to procedures.
• Identify when asbestos removal is required and arrange action.
• Assist with estimates using schedules of rates.

Job description

Do you enjoy a varied role where no two days are the same? Are you someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service while working safely and efficiently? Do you have labouring or delivery driving experience and want the opportunity to develop additional trade skills?

We're looking for a Driver Labourer to join our Repairs & Voids team, helping us provide an outstanding repairs and maintenance service to our customers. In this varied and hands-on role, you'll carry out driving duties alongside labouring and property maintenance activities, supporting colleagues across the business to ensure homes are safe, well-maintained, and ready for our tenants.

You'll be responsible for delivering materials and equipment, supporting maintenance operations, carrying out property clearances, assisting with repairs, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Location: Mildenhall, Newmarket, Cambridge

Hours: Full Time - 40 hpw - Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent + company van

What You'll Be Doing

• delivering building materials, equipment, and plant hire across the region.
• picking, assembling, loading, and transporting orders safely and efficiently.
• operating and maintaining a company vehicle.
• supporting repairs and maintenance teams with labouring tasks.
• carrying out void clearances, flood repairs, and damp and mould cleaning.
• collecting and disposing of waste in accordance with procedures.
• identifying situations where asbestos removal is required and arranging appropriate action.
• assessing work requirements and supporting the preparation of estimates using schedules of rates.
• delivering excellent service to customers while maintaining safe working practices.

What You'll Bring

Essential

• full UK driving licence.
• previous experience in a delivery driving and/or labouring role.
• good practical skills and the ability to complete a range of maintenance-related tasks.
• strong customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• competent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
• ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• knowledge of the East Anglia region and effective route planning.
• experience ordering and collecting materials or plant hire.
• experience using stock management systems.
• understanding of safeguarding and emergency procedures.
