Job summary

Gap Group is hiring a Driver in its Plant & Tool Division. You will load, deliver, and collect hire equipment such as diggers, dumpers, and power tools to construction, utilities, and infrastructure sites across the UK.

You’ll demonstrate kit on-site, complete checks and paperwork, and work safely on busy city streets and remote roads. The role suits reliable, safety-conscious drivers with a customer-focused approach and valid HGV Cat C licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a driving role, ideally delivering plant or tool equipment.
• Full UK driving licence with Category C (HGV) entitlement essential.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect hire equipment to sites across the UK.
• Demonstrate kit on-site and ensure checks and paperwork are completed accurately.
• Drive safely and professionally, navigating cities and rural roads as required.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure on-site safety standards are followed.
