Dundee City Council is recruiting for a full-time driver based at Marchbanks Depot, Harefield Road, Dundee, with travel across Dundee City. The role is 37 hours per week, term time only.
You will join the Fleet Section's School Transport Team and ensure safe transport for service users and staff in fleet vehicles. Applicants should have a D1 Category on a full current driving licence, strong communication skills, and experience with paper-based and computerised records.

You will have basic secondary education with a D1 Category on a full current driving licence.
You will work within the Fleet Section's School Transport Team, undertaking all rotational duties to a high standard as directed by the line manager. The post holder will be responsible for the safe transportation and welfare of service users and staff travelling in fleet vehicles. Key responsibilities include providing home-to-school transport for the City's ASN children, delivering transport support for mainstream school trips, and supporting wider community transport needs across the city.
You will have previous driving experience, a D1 Category on a full current driving licence. You will have good communication skills and experience of both paper-based and computerised documentation. You will be flexible and have the ability to work unsupervised. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
