Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team at Whitehouse Industrial Estate in Runcorn, Cheshire. You will deliver Next Home furnishings to customers’ homes as part of a two-person team, handling items up to 120kg and ensuring excellent service.

Applicants should hold a valid HGV licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card; 6 months Class 2 experience is desirable. The role includes a permanent, full-time contract with various shift patterns.

• 6 months Class 2 experience desirable.
• Home delivery experience desirable but not essential.
• Able to safely handle large and heavy items while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver as part of a two-person team, delivering Next Home furnishings to customers’ homes.
• Safely handle items 5kg–120kg and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete 20–30 deliveries per day depending on route and customer requirements.
• Perform vehicle checks and follow health and safety procedures.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Working as part of a two-person delivery team, delivering Next Home furnishings directly to customers' homes.
• Safely handling and delivering large items ranging from 5kg to 120kg while providing excellent customer service.
• Completing between 20 and 30 deliveries per day, depending on route and customer requirements.
• Conducting vehicle checks and following all health and safety procedures throughout the working day.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV driving licence, Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Enjoy delivering exceptional customer service and acting as the face of DHL and Next in customers' homes.
• Have home delivery experience, although this is desirable rather than essential.
• Are comfortable with physical work, including the safe handling of large and heavy items.
• Have 6 months Class 2 experience (Desirable)
