Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Derby (East Midlands Gateway) is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers to support a busy operation delivering ambient goods to major food retail distribution centres across the UK. You will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to RDCs and other sites.

As a Class 1 driver, you will operate on a rolling 4-on 4-off rota, starting early shifts, and may assist with unloading occasionally.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 8 months recent Class 1 driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on your licence
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries to food retail distribution centres nationwide
• Average of 2 drops per shift
• Driving throughout the UK as part of a nationwide delivery network
• Transporting ambient goods on pallets
• Majority of deliveries are unloaded by the distribution centre, occasionally you may be required to assist with unloading
• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering palletised loads to well-known food retail distribution centres and other major RDCs.
