Job summary

DHL is seeking a HGV Class 1 Dray Driver for a permanent full-time role based in Totton, Hampshire. The position features early starts (04:00) Monday to Friday with 4 Saturdays per year, delivering alcoholic products to pubs, restaurants and hotels, and handling 10–12 drops daily while staying compliant with safety and road regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence – Essential
• Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph Card – Essential
• No more than 6 penalty points – Essential
• Multi-drop HGV driving experience – Desirable
• Dray or similar delivery experience – Desirable

Responsibilities

• Delivering alcoholic products to pubs, restaurants, and hotels
• Completing 10–12 drops per day (on average)
• Managing manual handling of up to 11 tonnes of stock daily
• Driving safely and efficiently, in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Maintaining strict compliance with Health & Safety, road safety laws, and vehicle regulations
• Support unloading
• Manage Proof of Deliveries (PODs)
• Keep the transport team updated

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
