Job summary

BOC is seeking a dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver – ADR in Motherwell to deliver gas products to industrial and medical clients. Role includes operating tankers, minor vehicle repairs, and interactions with customers, with potential overnight shifts.

The position requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E) for 3+ years, Driver CPC, ADR Class 2 (Tanks), tanker experience, and clean licence with up to 3 points; site driving assessment may be required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 3 years.
• Driver CPC (DQC) required.
• ADR Class 2 (Tanks) certification.
• Tanker driving experience preferred.
• No more than 3 penalty points on licence.
• Good knowledge of tachograph legislation and safety awareness.

• Bulk Delivery: Transporting and delivering high-risk liquefied cryogenic gases to industrial and medical clients.
• Safety Compliance: Observing health and safety protocols for hazardous gas materials and tankers.

Job description

HGV Class 1 Driver – ADR

• Location: Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
• Pay: £19.30/hr (days) to £24.39/hr (nights)
• Type: Full-time, temporary, ongoing
• Recruiter: Pertemps on behalf of BOC
• Role: Delivering gas products, operating tankers and trailers, minor vehicle repairs, customer interaction, and occasional overnight working.

Role Responsibilities

• Bulk Delivery: Transporting and delivering high-risk liquefied cryogenic gases to industrial and medical clients.
• Safety Compliance: Operating strict health and safety protocols regarding the discharge of hazardous gas materials and dealing with pressure-regulated tankers.
• Vehicle Care: Conducting daily vehicle walk‑around checks, tracking digital tachograph records, and keeping exact log details.

Key Requirements

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 3 years
