Job summary

JDP is seeking an experienced 18T HGV Driver with HIAB for its Broxburn site, with relocation to Uphall planned. You will be responsible for delivering civils and drainage products to customers across Broxburn and surrounding areas.

The role requires a valid Class C licence, HIAB experience or certification, Driver CPC, a digital tachograph card, and strong safety and customer service skills. Opportunities for progression and long-term employment exist.

Job Description

We are currently looking to appoint an experienced 18T HGV Driver with HIAB to join our successful team in Broxburn. If you are a hardworking, flexible individual who enjoys being part of a team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Please note: Due to continued growth, our Broxburn branch will be relocating to Uphall in the near future.

The Role

As one of our drivers, you will be customer-facing and responsible for delivering civils and drainage products to customers throughout Broxburn and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Safe and efficient operation of an 18T vehicle
• Completing deliveries accurately and on time
• Ensuring compliance with all driver and vehicle legislation
• Representing JDP professionally at each delivery point
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining JDP’s strong reputation

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• A positive, supportive attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of the operation
• A valid Class C licence
• HIAB certification or experience
• Driver CPC training completed
• A digital tachograph card
• Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety practices
• A strong understanding of driver procedures, including driving hours rules and regulations
• The ability to plan efficient delivery routes
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable

Having FLT experience would be beneficial.
