Job summary

JDP is seeking an experienced 18T HGV Driver to join our team in Cambridge. You will be delivering civils and drainage products to customers across Cambridge and surrounding areas, with a focus on reliable, safe, and professional service.

HIAB experience is advantageous but training can be provided. We offer Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent roles with a contributory pension, annual leave, and opportunities to develop skills within a stable UK company.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C licence
• HIAB certification desirable; training can be provided for right candidate
• Driver CPC training completed
• Digital tachograph card held
• Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety practices
• Strong understanding of driver procedures and driving hours rules
• Ability to plan efficient delivery routes and communicate well with customers

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an 18T vehicle and complete deliveries on time
• Deliver civils and drainage products to customers across Cambridge and surrounds
• Represent JDP professionally at each delivery point
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain company reputation
• Ensure compliance with driver and vehicle regulations

If yes, this could be a great job for you.... this isn't your typical multi drop day. Our drivers represent JDP and are close to our customer, delivering to approx. 6 sites a day. You'll be delivering drainage products - sewer pipe, tanks, attenuation crates and fittings for example. We offer Monday to Friday, full time, permanent and secure roles. HIAB experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided for suitable candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, customer-focused, and committed to working safely and effectively as part of a successful team.

The Role

As one of our drivers, you will be customer-facing and responsible for delivering civils and drainage products to customers throughout Cambridge and the surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Safe and efficient operation of an 18T vehicle
• Completing deliveries accurately and on time
• Ensuring compliance with all driver and vehicle legislation
• Representing JDP professionally at each delivery point
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining JDP’s strong reputation

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have
