Job summary

JDP is seeking an experienced 18T HGV Driver for our Uphall site. This role is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with no weekends. You will deliver drainage products to about 6 sites a day, being customer-facing and part of a growing UK company owned by a global group.

HIAB training is available for suitable candidates, with training provided for the right person. We value reliability, flexibility and safe working practices within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class C driving licence.
• HIAB certification is desirable; training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Driver CPC qualification completed.
• Digital tachograph card held.
• Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety practices.
• Understanding of driving hours rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an 18T vehicle and deliver to multiple sites.
• Complete deliveries accurately and on time.
• Ensure compliance with driver and vehicle legislation.
• Represent JDP professionally at delivery points.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain JDP’s strong reputation.

Are you looking for an HGV driver role without weekends, overnights or overruns? Do you want to get home at a decent time each night? If yes, this could be a great job for you.... this isn't your typical multi drop day. Our drivers represent JDP and are close to our customer, delivering to approx. 6 sites a day. You'll be delivering drainage products - sewer pipe, tanks, attenuation crates and fittings for example. We offer Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm, full time, permanent and secure roles. We are seeking an experienced 18T HGV Driver. It's an exciting time to join JDP as the team have recently relocated to our new site in Uphall.

HIAB experience is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided for suitable candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, commitment, and willingness to learn.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, flexible, customer-focused, and committed to working safely and effectively as part of a successful team.

The Role

As one of our drivers, you will be customer-facing and responsible for delivering civils and drainage products to customers throughout Broxburn and the surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities include:

• Safe and efficient operation of an 18T vehicle
• Completing deliveries accurately and on time
• Ensuring compliance with all driver and vehicle legislation
• Representing JDP professionally at each delivery point
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining JDP’s strong reputation

Profile

The successful candidate will have

• A valid Class C licence
• HIAB certification is desirable; however, full training can be provided for the right candidate who is keen to develop their skills.
• Driver CPC training completed
• A digital tachograph card
• Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety practices
• A strong understanding of driver procedures, including driving hours rules and regulations
• The ability to plan efficient delivery routes
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
