Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Swindon is hiring a Class 1 Day Driver on a full-time, permanent contract, Monday to Friday with start times between 04:00 and 07:00. You will deliver for City Plumbing, ensuring loads are secured and paperwork is accurate.

The role requires a full UK driving licence with C+E, at least 1 year of Class 1 experience, and a clean licence (no TT/IN/DD etc.). Benefits include 25 days holiday, pension, CPC training, and access to GXO University.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points (TT/IN/DD/DR/DG endorsements prohibited).

• 3–4 drops per day.
• Operate the vehicle safely and legally, ensuring it is loaded correctly.
• Complete documentation accurately and per policy.

Here at GXO Swindon, we are recruiting a Class 1 Day Driver to join our client, City Plumbing. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday, with start time of between 04.00 – 07.00.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• 3 to 4 drops per day
• Operating the vehicle in safe and legal manner, guaranteeing it has been loaded correctly prior to leaving site (No Handball Required)
• Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in line with company policy
• Operating automated lift decks as may be required on a day-to-day basis
