Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in the UK seeks experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for our Wellingborough site. This full-time, permanent role is on an any 5 days from 7 pattern, 48 hours per week, with day, afternoon and night shifts.

You will perform multidrop and trunking deliveries, handle pallets and cages, and maintain excellent customer service, while keeping safety at the forefront. Salary is £45,200 per year with a night-shift allowance of £23.95 per shift, plus 20 days annual leave, a company

• Experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a mix of multidrop and trunking deliveries, while collecting waste from stores in line with operational requirements.
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.

Here at GXO we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join us at our new site in Wellingborough. You’ll be part of a team that works closely together to keep operations on track and ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 5 days form 7 pattern, contracted to 48 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for the following patterns:

• Day shifts with start times between 09:00 and 12:00
• Day shifts with start times between 12:00 and 15:00
• Afternoon shifts starting at 14:00
• Night shifts starting at 22:00

This role requires a degree offlexibility to work weekends in line with business needs.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
