Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source, a leading architectural metalwork specialist, is seeking a permanent Draughtsman in West Yorkshire. The role is mainly home-based, producing AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawings for canopies, balustrades, steel stairs and specialist metalwork products.

Responsibilities include GA and manufacturing drawings, and working from architect/engineer/site information with occasional site visits; flexible hours depend on workload.

Qualifications

• Architectural metalwork drafting background (not structural steel).
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D & 3D.
• Knowledge of current building regulations and coordinating information from multiple trades.
• Experience producing GA and fabrication drawings.

• Produce 2D and 3D drawings for canopies, balustrades, stairs and metalwork.
• Produce GA and manufacturing drawings.
• Work from architect, engineer and site information.
• Attend occasional site visits (site surveys handled in-house).

Job description

A leading architectural metalwork specialist is currently looking for a permanent Draughtsman in West Yorkshire. The role is primarily home-based, producing AutoCAD 2D and 3D drawings for canopies, balustrades, steel stairs and specialist metalwork products.

Start Date: After Christmas
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Location: West Yorkshire
Hours: Flexible, depending on workload

Duties:

• Producing 2D and 3D drawings for canopies, balustrades, steel stairs and specialist metalwork products
• Producing General Arrangement (GA) and manufacturing drawings
• Working from architect, engineer and site-measured information
• Attending occasional site visits (site surveys are usually handled in-house)

Requirements:

• Architectural metalwork engineering / draughting background (rather than structural steel)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D
• Strong knowledge of current building regulations and building control requirementsAbility to coordinate information from multiple trades
• Experience producing both GA and fabrication/manufacturing drawings

Working Pattern: Primarily working from home, with occasional site visits
