Job summary

M-Tech Engineering Ltd. in Hucknall is searching for an experienced Design Draughtsman to enhance our expanding Design department. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in SolidWorks, with AutoDesk Inventor experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SolidWorks ideally and AutoDesk Inventor at a minimum.
• 3-4 years experience in architectural metalwork or staircase manufacturing.
• Ability to create clear and accurate manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manufacturing drawings for order processing.
• Issue designs and drawings for approval.
• Produce installation drawings based on site installation process.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and fabricators.

Location: Hucknall, Nottinghamshire
Position: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per year

We are looking for an experienced Design Draughtsman to join our expanding Design department.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing and established company located in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire.
The successful candidate must be proficient in solid works ideally and inventor at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Have an understanding of the fabrication process in order to prepare clear and accurate manufacturing drawings for order processing.
• Issue designs and drawings for approval
• Have an understanding of site installation process to produce and issue installation drawings
• Coordinate approvals and customers instructions to manufacture.
• Liaising with clients, structural engineers, architects and fabricator.
• Raising RFIs for missing information.
• Noting changes in design information and raising variation of services.

Required

• ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in a building or construction related subject
• 3-4 years experience of working within Architectural metalwork related / staircase manufacturing organisation (note sufficient experience can supersede formal qualification)
• SolidWorks (3D) experience (Highly Desirable)
• AutoDesk Inventor Software (Desirable)
• Ability to follow and elaborate/create production drawings and templates
