Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source is seeking a permanent Tekla Draughtsman to join a busy design team in Bedfordshire. This office-based role offers long-term stability within an expanding architectural metalwork department. Immediate start is available with a standard 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM schedule.

You will create accurate 3D Tekla models and detailed drawings for balconies, balustrades and steelwork, ensuring coordination with engineers and compliance with UK standards. Salary £50,000 - £55,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Strong Tekla Structures experience with architectural metalwork.
• Understanding of fabrication methods and workshop processes.
• Familiar with UK building regulations and detailing standards.
• High attention to detail; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings in Tekla for metalwork packages, including balconies, balustrades, staircases and associated steelwork
• Produce GA drawings and fabrication details, and issue complete drawing packs for manufacture
• Work closely with the internal engineer and design manager to ensure all work is coordinated, compliant and practical for fabrication
• Liaise with project teams to meet programme requirements and client expectations
• Ensure all detailing aligns with current UK building regulations and industry standards

A leading architectural metalwork specialist is currently looking for a permanent Tekla Draughtsman to join a busy design team in Bedfordshire. This is a full-time, office-based role offering long-term stability within a growing architectural metalwork department.

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE)

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Location: Bedfordshire

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)

Duties:

• Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings in Tekla for metalwork packages, including balconies, balustrades, staircases and associated steelwork
• Produce GA drawings and fabrication details, and issue complete drawing packs for manufacture
• Work closely with the internal engineer and design manager to ensure all work is coordinated, compliant and practical for fabrication
• Liaise with project teams to meet programme requirements and client expectations
• Ensure all detailing aligns with current UK building regulations and industry standards

Requirements:

• Strong Tekla Structures, structural steel and architectural metalwork experience, with a heavy emphasis on architectural metalwork
• Confident understanding of fabrication methods and workshop processes
• Familiar with UK building regulations and detailing standards
• High attention to detail, able to work independently and within a team
