Job summary

Lanes Group in Glasgow is recruiting a drainage/utility engineer to design, develop, and deliver drainage and wastewater infrastructure solutions across a nationwide network. You will conduct site investigations, surveys and feasibility studies, producing technical drawings using CAD software.

The role includes managing projects from planning to completion, liaising with clients and authorities, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence required with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Desirable: NRSWA Streetworks, experience in drainage, machine ticket (10t+), confined space level 2+, Cat & Genny Location, shoring, CSCS, manual handling, first aid at work.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop drainage, sewerage, and wastewater infrastructure solutions.
• Carry out site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies.
• Produce technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation using CAD software.
• Manage projects from planning through to construction and completion.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, contractors, and operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
• Support asset maintenance, drainage improvements, flood prevention, and wastewater network performance
