Job summary

United Drains is seeking a Pump / Drainage Engineer to service, repair and install pumped drainage systems across London and surrounding areas. You’ll work with wastewater systems, pump chambers, control panels and more, supporting commercial clients and collaborating with our in-house service team.

Essential: 5+ years with wastewater pumps and 3‑phase electrical systems, 17th Edition, a full UK driving licence and DBS check. Desirable: drainage experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with wastewater pumps and control panels.
• Competent with 3‑phase electrical systems.
• 17th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (required).
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair wastewater pumping systems, packaged pump sets, macerators and associated equipment.
• Install new pump chambers and systems.
• Work with grey water and effluent systems, often in confined spaces.
• Carry out fault diagnosis and provide detailed reports with photos.
• Work confidently on 3‑phase systems and control panels.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and site safety.
