Job summary

Transport for London is seeking an Engineer (B3) Pumps & Drainage in London (Stratford). You will deliver specialist Pumps & Drainage engineering across the asset lifecycle to support safe, reliable infrastructure for millions of customers.

The role requires knowledge of pumps and drainage, health and safety standards, and the ability to guide projects and teams. Hybrid working balances office and home, with occasional night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of legislation, technical standards and industry best practice related to Pumps and Drainage.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental considerations applicable to Pumps and Drainage.
• Experience in asset risk management and STRATA risk assessments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety, functionality or compliance of assets and processes.
• Lead development and implementation of low complexity engineering solutions.
• Provide challenge and professional advice to stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Undertake on-site risk-based monitoring and escalation of risks as appropriate.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable standards, design codes and legislation.
• Evaluate and apply solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support technical decision making with engineering judgment.
