Job summary

The Lanes Group, the UK’s largest independent water and wastewater solutions provider, is hiring a JetVac Assistant for our Aberdeen Depot. You will work in a two-person team handling drainage issues, blockages, cleansing, and reactive call-outs from the Aberdeen location.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery
• Ensure all H&S requirements are followed
• Communicate with customers about scheduled works and address any concerns.
• Assist in identifying drainage issues, including blockages, structural defects, infiltration, and root ingress.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear drains, sewers, and pipework.
• Remove waste materials and prevent build-up in wastewater systems.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure readiness.
• Support CCTV inspections to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Assist in emergency response situations, including flooding and urgent drainage issues.
• Learn to complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) under supervision.
