Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a Development Services Representative for a 12-month secondment in the Drainage Field Team. The role involves significant fieldwork with developers, contractors and customers to connect, divert or plan drainage assets and ensure safety and standards on site.

You’ll be trained to develop the technical knowledge required, with support to learn and grow in a hands-on, customer‑facing environment.

Qualifications

• You’ll need to be happy working independently, organising your time and taking responsibility for the work you’re doing.
• You’ll also need to be comfortable asking questions, making decisions and speaking up when something doesn’t look right.
• Safety is a big part of this role and you’ll be trained to work safely on active development sites.

Responsibilities

• Spend much of your time out on site, working with developers, contractors and customers to build, connect or plan drainage assets.
• Help customers understand what’s needed and ensure work is carried out to the right standards.
• Investigate issues like unwanted water or pollution risks and resolve them with colleagues and contractors.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to customers and handle challenging conversations when needed.
