Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal or Associate Director to lead the Drainage Engineering team in the South East. You will shape water, drainage, and environmental solutions for major transportation projects across rail, highways, Local Authorities and aviation.

You will manage projects from concept to detailed design, support the growth of drainage capabilities, lead client engagements, and develop a high-performing team of drainage engineers across the UK.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and/or degree qualified depending on role.
• Extensive and proven post-degree experience in designing sustainable drainage solutions.
• Knowledge of drainage design principles and infrastructure drainage standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of a wide variety of civil engineering projects including highway, rail, infrastructure and site development schemes.
• Delivery from concept through to detailed design with high technical standards, timely delivery and commercial success.
• Delivering a broad range of drainage services for major transport and infrastructure projects in the UK.
• Lead client relationships and attend progress meetings.
• Manage a team of drainage engineers, supporting technical development and ensuring resource allocation.
