Job summary

Join WSP’s Drainage Engineering team in the South East as a Principal or Associate Director to shape water, drainage and environmental solutions for UK transport projects. Deliver designs from concept to detailed design for rail, highways and airport schemes, while leading client relations and mentoring engineers.

The role requires Chartered/Incorporated Engineer and extensive post-degree drainage experience, with proficiency in Civil 3D/Causeway Flow and knowledge of UK regulations.

Qualifications

• Extensive post-degree experience in designing sustainable drainage solutions.
• Knowledge of drainage design principles for infrastructure.
• Experience with UK Building Regulations, Design Standards and Health & Safety regs.
• Proven management of projects and teams to meet quality and commercial targets.
• Experience in highway, rail, airport drainage and asset management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver drainage design across highways, rail, infrastructure and site development projects.
• Lead projects from concept through to completion with high technical standards.
• Deliver a broad range of drainage services for major transport projects in the UK.
• Lead client relationships and attend progress meetings.
• Manage and develop a team of drainage engineers.
