Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal or Associate Director to lead drainage and environmental solutions for transport infrastructure across the UK. You will manage drainage design from concept through to detailed design, and lead client relationships while guiding a team of drainage engineers.

The role requires Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status with substantial post‑degree experience and proficiency in Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, or Microdrainage. You will shape the drainage capability across the UK.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and/or degree qualified (role dependant).
• Extensive post‑degree experience in designing sustainable drainage solutions.
• Knowledge of drainage design principles and infrastructure drainage.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of a wide variety of civil engineering projects (highway, rail, infrastructure, site development).
• Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring high technical standards, timeliness and commercial success.
• Deliver drainage services for major transport and infrastructure projects in the UK.
• Lead client relationships and attend progress meetings.
• Manage a team of drainage engineers and support their development.
