Job summary

Metro Rod Deeside & North Wales is seeking a hands-on Drainage Engineer to work across commercial sites, carrying out reactive drainage, planned maintenance and remedial works. You will clear blockages, operate jetting equipment, perform CCTV surveys and diagnose faults.

This role offers a 7.30am–5pm weekday schedule with a basic salary around £35,000 plus overtime and an on-call rota, plus benefits such as a company van, fuel card and pension.

Qualifications

• High pressure water jetting experience.
• CCTV surveying experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial drainage.
• Experience using electro-mechanical cleaning equipment.
• Strong problem-solving ability and technical knowledge.
• Flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to work unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains.
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment safely.
• Carrying out CCTV surveys.
• Providing excellent customer service and technical support.
• Accurately recording work details in internal/client systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients and support centre to ensure service quality.
• Being part of an on-call rota to service clients 24/7/365.

Ther role:

• This is a varied, hands-on role working across commercial sites, delivering a mixture of reactive drainage services, planned maintenance and specialist remedial works. You’ll investigate and clear blockages using electro-mechanical cleaning equipment, complete CCTV surveys, diagnose faults and carry out lining repairs. We’re looking for an experienced commercial drainage engineer with a broad range of skills.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out CCTV surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Being part of an on‑call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year
