Job summary

TDA Telecoms in South London is seeking a skilled Drainage Engineer to join a two-man team for planned and reactive blockage clearance across the M25 area. The role requires descaling machinery experience, basic plumbing skills (toilets/urinals), and flexibility to work 40 hours plus on-call overtime.

Responsibilities include internal and external blockage clearance, planned maintenance de-scaling, and adherence to health and safety and QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of drainage experience.
• Basic plumbing knowledge including toilets and urinals.
• Experience with descaling machinery.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call rota.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must pass DBS check.
• Familiarity with WinCan 10 Reporting.

• PPM de-scaling as part of planned maintenance.
• Plumbing tasks: removing/refitting toilets and urinals; cutting/removing pipes.
• Emergency on-call rota participation 24/7.

Job description

Location: South London, M25 Area

Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per year (depending on experience) + Overtime at time and a half

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 + On-Call Rota

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drainage Engineer to join our client in South London. The role involves both planned and reactive blockage clearance, with a focus on internal and external blockages. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various descaling machinery and basic plumbing skills, including the ability to remove and refit toilets and urinals. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility, including participation in an on-call rota, working overtime, and being available 24/7 for emergency call-outs within the M25 area.

Responsibilities

• Blockage Clearance: Perform internal and external blockage clearance using various machinery.
• PPM De-scales: Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) de-scaling.
• Plumbing Knowledge: Work on basic plumbing tasks such as toilet repairs, removing wall-hung urinals, and cutting/removing plastic pipework from 32mm to 52mm, and ideally from 100mm to 150mm.
• Emergency Response: Participate in the on-call rota to respond to emergency blockages 24/7.
• Teamwork: Work effectively as part of a two-man team.
• Health & Safety: Adhere to H&S and Quality Assurance procedures at all times.

Requirements
