Job summary

ProGroup Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Door Entry & Automation Engineer to service, maintain and repair automated entrance and security systems across social housing sites in London and the Home Counties. You will be part of a well-established engineering team delivering secure, long‑term contracts with opportunities for progression.

The role also includes a company vehicle, fuel card, paid travel time, overtime opportunities and ongoing training to support career development

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and maintaining automatic doors, shutters, gates, barriers or door entry systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working within social housing or occupied properties is advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair automated entrance and security systems across sites.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance where applicable.
• Respond to reactive breakdowns and fault finding in a timely manner.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on-site.

ProGroup Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Door Entry & Automation Engineer to join a leading national provider of Fire & Security service and maintenance solutions.

Working across social housing contracts throughout London and the Home Counties, you'll become part of a well-established engineering team with secure, long-term contracts and genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of a range of automated entrance and security systems, including:

• Automatic Doors
• Roller Shutters & Industrial Doors
• Gates & Barriers
• Door Entry & Access Control Systems
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
• Responding to reactive breakdowns and fault finding
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the highest standard

What We're Looking For
