Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment Ltd is working with a well-established independent entrance systems company to recruit an Automatic Door Engineer to join its growing engineering team in South London. This role focuses on servicing, maintaining, and repairing automatic door systems on commercial and industrial sites, with occasional work on roller shutters and gates.

A minimum of one year in automatic doors is required, with other door systems a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working on automatic doors.
• Experience with roller shutters or gate systems is advantageous.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• EN16005 certification is desirable.
• BS7036 / DHF qualifications are desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair automatic door systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown visits.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and safely.
• Work primarily on automatic doors, with occasional work on roller shutters and gate systems.
• Complete minor installation and upgrade works.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rota.

Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with a well-established independent entrance systems company seeking to recruit an Automatic Door Engineer to join its growing engineering team in South London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Automatic Door Engineer to join a respected business offering long-term career progression, ongoing technical development, and a varied workload across commercial and industrial sites. The majority of work focuses on automatic doors, with experience in roller shutters and gates considered highly advantageous.

Engineers with at least 1 year of experience in automatic doors are encouraged to apply. Candidates with additional experience working on roller shutters, gates, revolving doors, industrial doors, or high-speed doors will also be considered.

Commutable from: Redhill, Caterham, Oxted, Crawley, Horley, Epsom, Leatherhead, Dorking, Coulsdon, Warlingham, Purley, and surrounding areas.

Automatic Door Engineer Responsibilities:

• EN16005 certification - DESIRABLE
• BS7036 / DHF qualifications - DESIRABLE
• Good customer-facing and communication skills - ESSENTIAL
• Flexible approach to travel across the South London region - ESSENTIAL
• Full UK Driving Licence - ESSENTIAL
