Job summary

Specsavers is seeking a domiciliary optometrist to bring expert eye care directly to patients at their homes across the region. You will deliver comprehensive vision assessments, advice, and care to individuals who cannot visit stores.

You will work largely independently, supported by a dedicated team and a company car or allowance. A full driving licence and GOC registration are essential, with a passion for high-quality community eye care.

Qualifications

• Registered with General Optical Council (GOC).
• Full driving licence required.
• Experience in domiciliary eye care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide eye care to patients in their homes.
• Deliver excellent customer service and clinical care.
• Work independently and as part of a Specsavers team to support community eye care.

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a domiciliary optometrist at Specsavers, you can do just that. You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to the people who aren’t able to come into our stores. But not only do you help them with their sight, you’ll be able to support them to get basic tasks done that they wouldn’t be able to do without you. Essentially, you’ll be bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of your community.

Our business

Based on the east coast, covering areas such as Edinburgh, Livingstone, Haddington, Peebles,Galashiels etc, you’ll cover a given territory, providing care to patients in their own homes.

We have a wonderful dedicated team ready and waiting for you to meet.

Our cars

You’ll be provided with a company car (or allowance) to bring your care directly to people’s homes.

We do need you to have a couple of things to get started in this role.Firstly, you’ll need to be registered as a member of the General Optical Council (keeping this up to date) and youmust have a full driving license.
