PART TIME Domiciliary Care Assistant

CONTRACTED HOURS

Shift Availability (includes alternate weekends)

  • 07:00-15:00
  • 16:00-22:30

Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential for this role depending on location.

Domiciliary care is a very rewarding career as you will work with clients on a 1-to-1 or 2-to-1 basis, allowing you to build longstanding professional relationships with each client.

The main duties of a Domiciliary Health Care Assistant will include:

  • Providing personal care, including but not limited to - washing, dressing, nutrition and hydration
  • Providing social, emotional and physical support to clients
  • Domestic duties such as dusting, vacuuming and changing bed linens
  • Meal preparation
  • Support with activities
  • Support with medication needs
  • Companionship

The Ideal Domiciliary Care Assistant Will:

  • Have an NVQ Level 2 or above in health and social care or be willing to work towards one.
  • Have previous relevant training to the job role or be willing to attend training.
  • Have previous domiciliary healthcare experience (not essential)
  • Have a DBS check dated within 3 months or be prepared to register for one.
  • Be flexible, reliable and committed.
