Job summary

Prime Healthcare Solutions Ltd is seeking a Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centred support in clients’ homes. You will assist with personal cares, daily living tasks and companionship, promoting independence with dignity.

Hours include mornings and evenings, with travel between visits. Driver with access to vehicle preferred. Training and development opportunities are available to support your growth in the local community.

Domiciliary Care Assistant

Job Summary

A Domiciliary Care Assistant provides compassionate, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes. The role supports people to live independently, safely and with dignity by assisting with daily living tasks, companionship and emotional support.

Hours: 7am to 2pm / 4pm to 10pm

Need to be drivers and have access to own vehicle.

This role is ideal for caring, reliable individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in their local community

Key Responsibilities

Personal Care

• Assist with washing, bathing, showering and personal hygiene
• Support with dressing, grooming and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers and use of mobility aids
• Support continence care where required

Daily Living Support

• Help service users prepare meals and drinks
• Assist with feeding where necessary
• Prompt or administer medication in line with care plans and training
• Support with light household tasks (laundry, cleaning, shopping)

Emotional & Social Support

• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Encourage independence and confidence
• Support social outings, appointments and activities
• Monitor wellbeing and report concerns

Health & Safety

• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments
• Maintain accurate daily care records and report changes
• Follow safeguarding, infection control and health & safety policies
• Maintain confidentiality and respect at all times
