A leading company in healthcare facilities management seeks a Supervisor to ensure cleanliness and compliance across its sites. Responsibilities include managing cleaning staff, ensuring safety regulations are adhered to, and overseeing performance standards. Candidates should possess relevant supervisory experience, a level 3 qualification, and excellent communication skills.
Including coaching and training of Supervisory Staff and Domestic Services staff.
Monitor performance levels by reviewing fault sheets provided from internal auditing.
Ensure staff work in a safe manner observing all Infection Prevention Control measures, Health and Safety, COSHH, moving and handling training etc. at all times.
Carry out probationary reviews with new starters, support and guide front line staff.
Manage allocation of annual leave and ensure staffing levels are maintained.
Ensure daily, weekly, and regular cleaning and infection control practices as defined by QE Facilities Ltd Policy, Procedures and Service Level Agreements within the designated area(s).
Supervise daily, weekly and monthly scheduled tasks are signed off ensuring all related actions are completed.
Undertake fault call logging for maintenance services provided by QE Facilities and its contractors.
Offer support at "hands on level" when required.
Order and maintain stock using stock management system. Order non-stock items to meet service needs.
Carry out return to work interviews, complete step one reviews in line with the managing attendance policy.
Conduct document conversations and step one performance management in line with the performance management policy.
Perform any other duties in line with level of authority.
Move empty waste carts from external waste compound to internal waste store.
Tag appropriate waste carts and transporter and complete information where required (transporter - tag requires the number and type of each sharps bin i.e. 4 x 22L 6X 32L etc.).
Collect full sharps bins from internal waste store and load onto transporter.
Check and manage stock of reusable sharps bins in department stores and top up with required empties from external waste compound as per Sharpsmart signage in store rooms.
Provide access to external waste compound for waste collections as required.
Check and sign paperwork from waste contractors including waste transfer notes (Biffa - household and Recycling and Suez - Offensive) and hazardous waste consignment notes (Sharpsmart - Clinical & Sharpsmart - reusable sharps bins) to ensure correct collection.
Securely store waste documentation on site for audit and compliance with Environment Agency requirements.
Ensure waste compound is locked and waste is secure when not in use.
Ensure WEEE & Confidential waste is stored securely internally and collected by QEF with laundry collections.

You will develop, supervise, and monitor the performance of Supervisory and Domestic Services staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness, order, and patient/client well-being within premises managed by QE Facilities Ltd.
