Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Domestic Solar PV Installation Engineer to join a growing solar installation team in Kent. The role involves installing PV systems on domestic and commercial sites, with travel from the Kent hub to various locations.

Flexible hours, 40 per week, and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. The ideal candidate has Solar PV installation or roofing experience, a full UK driving licence, CSCS, and DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

Job description

Enjoy a permanent Domestic Solar PV Installation Engineer role with full tools, PPE, renewable energy training and travel provided from the Kent hub to sites. Join a growing solar installation team carrying out residential and commercial Solar PV projects across Kent and surrounding areas.

This is a permanent, hands-on position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Previous Solar PV experience would give you a strong advantage, although experienced roofers who are confident working at height and keen to move into renewable energy are also encouraged to apply.

I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Domestic Solar PV Installation Engineer, Solar Installer, Solar Roofer, Roofer or PV Installer.

As a Domestic Solar PV Installation Engineer, you will be:

• Installing Solar PV systems across domestic and commercial properties
• Completing roofing work associated with solar installations
• Working safely on roofs and at height in varying weather conditions
• Preparing and maintaining clean and organised work areas
• Unloading and moving materials required for installations
• Supporting the wider installation team to complete projects efficiently
• Following site health and safety procedures
• Working independently where required while contributing to the wider team

• Previous Solar PV installation or strong roofing experience
• Confidence working at height
• A full UK driving licence
• A CSCS card or willingness to complete the qualification
• The ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
• A reliable and proactive approach to work
• Good communication skills
• The physical ability to complete outdoor and rooftop work

The Domestic Solar PV Installation Engineer role is offering:

• Around £36,000 per year depending on experience
• Potential earnings around £40,000 for candidates with strong Solar PV experience
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Typical working hours around 8am to 4pm, with some additional hours where required
• Travel provided from the Kent office hub to sites

Location & travel

This position is based from a Kent office and warehouse, with travel to projects across Kent and occasionally further afield. Travel from the office hub to different sites is provided. There may be occasional overnight stays depending on project location, with accommodation and additional allowances provided.
