Job summary

Apex M&E Solutions Ltd is seeking a Domestic Service Engineer to support HIU systems across new-build residential sites in the UK. The role emphasizes fault finding, maintenance and commissioning, with company training provided to work on HIUs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level qualification or equivalent in engineering/plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and resolving service faults, including repair and renewal works.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
• Installing and commissioning HIU systems on new-build residential sites.
• Completing plumbing and associated engineering works.
• Providing a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Service Engineer on behalf of a leading national provider of sustainable heating and energy solutions. With over 35 years of industry experience and hundreds of employees across the UK, this is an exciting opportunity to join a company at the forefront of the UK's transition towards more efficient heating solutions.

The business specialises in the design, installation, maintenance and management of plant rooms and heat networks, working with major organisations including local authorities, universities, housing associations, private landlords and energy suppliers.

As the Domestic Service Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring HIU systems are installed, commissioned and maintained to the highest standards across new-build residential developments. The company will provide HIU training so you are qualified to work on them.

You’ll be carrying out a mixture of fault finding, repairs, planned maintenance, installations and commissioning, making this a varied role with plenty of opportunity to develop your technical skills.

Skills & Qualifications

• An NVQ Level qualification or equivalent in a relevant engineering/plumbing discipline
• A current technical background, ideally within building services engineering
• The ability to work independently and without supervision
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
• The ability to adapt and thrive within a fast-moving industry
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data-handling systems
• A full UK driving licence
