RGB is seeking an HIU Engineer for a mobile role covering Dartford and London. The position offers a £42,000–£45,000 yearly contract, with a company van, fuel card, and paid travel.

You will service, repair and fault-find HIUs within district heat networks across residential and commercial sites. The role requires relevant plumbing or heating qualifications, strong fault-finding ability, and the ability to work independently.

Duties include servicing and repairing heat interface units within district heat networks across residential and commercial sites. A company van and fuel card are supplied, alongside paid travel of one hour each way. No call-out rota applies. An established and growing building services specialist with a team of around 27 employees, delivering maintenance, design, installation and project solutions across London. The business specialises in district heat networks and works on a range of mixed-use, residential and commercial developments. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced HIU Service / Breakdown Engineer to join the team.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and fault finding on Heat Interface Units (HIUs) and associated district heating plant across London. This is a mobile position working on a variety of modern residential and mixed-use developments, ensuring heating and hot water systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Previous experience servicing and repairing HIUs
• Strong mechanical plantroom experience is essential
• Experience working on district heating networks
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload
