Job summary

Dovehaven Care Homes is seeking a compassionate Domestic Assistant for Maple Lodge Care Home in Liverpool to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.

You will work 24 hours per week across four shifts (8.30am–3pm) on a rota, with alternated weekend availability. The role includes laundry duties and close collaboration with a friendly team in a family-run care setting.

Qualifications

• Previous domestic or housekeeping experience.
• Understanding of hygiene standards.
• Organised with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Following daily cleaning schedules throughout the home
• Hoovering, dusting, polishing, and mopping floors
• Shampooing carpets and maintaining communal areas
• Supporting high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Assisting with laundry duties including washing, drying, and ironing
• Ensuring clothing and bedding are labelled and cared for correctly
• Working closely with colleagues to maintain a welcoming environment
• Supporting residents with kindness, dignity, and respect

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Domestic Assistant, you’ll play an important role in ensuring residents enjoy a clean, safe, and comfortable environment every day.
