Watford House Care Home in the High Peak area seeks a Domestic/Laundry Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. You will clean rooms, bathrooms and communal areas and help with laundry, ensuring hygiene and presentation are consistently high.
The role is part-time, 24 hours per week, with alternate weekends. DBS paid, pension and uniform provided. A positive, reliable approach and teamwork are valued, with independence encouraged where appropriate.
Our residential home is in the beautiful High Peak, providing high quality Residential, Respite and Dementia care for 36-residents.
As Domestic/Laundry Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.
You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
