Job summary

Sureserve is hiring in Dartford for a role within the social housing sector, focusing on heating and gas compliance. The candidate will assess jobs, identify materials, and coordinate with procurement and residents to ensure timely completion.

Required are Level 2 plumbing qualification and a full UK driving licence. Customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse client base are essential, with opportunities for progression within Sureserve Compliance South.

Qualifications

• Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less).
• Experience in social housing desirable, but not essential.
• Experience delivering high levels of customer service.
• The ability to work with a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities

• Risk assess work environments before starting and follow Health & Safety and GSIUR 1998.
• Identify materials and parts required to carry out repairs and log them on the PDA/IT system.
• Coordinate with procurement & admin teams and inform residents of timescale for completion.
• Manage allocated van stock and maintain stock levels.
• Be prepared to work flexibly with possible hours outside normal working times.
• Carry out daily tasks with a helpful and professional customer-focused approach.
• Report vulnerabilities or concerns via internal system to management.
• Keep allocated company vehicle clean, wear uniform, and dispose of waste per regulations.

We support our clients across domestic gas, commercial gas, renewables, and electrical services. Role

• To risk assess work/working environments before starting any works to avoid damages or injuries, and undertake all work in accordance with Health & Safety and The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations (GSIUR) 1998
• To identify materials and parts required to carry out repairs to the set company standard. To record accurate logs of work undertaken and materials used capturing this on the company’s PDA / I.T system
• There any further works are required, to liaise with procurement & admin teams then inform residents of timescale for completion of the work being undertaken
• To manage, control and be responsible for allocated van stock ensuring levels are kept as necessary
• Be prepared to work flexible with the possibility of work outside normal working hours depending on the needs of the business
• Carryout your daily tasks in a helpful and professional approach prioritising customer service
• To report any vulnerabilities or concerns to management via our internal system so it can be addressed and reported back to the appropriate client
• To keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy at all times, always wear correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations

The successful candidate will have

• Level 2 plumbing qualification or equivalent
• Full UK Driving Licence (6 points or less)
• Experience within Social Housing desirable, but not essential
• Experience delivering high levels of customer service
• The ability to work with a diverse customer base
